About Us

Solid Plans Software builds tooling for development teams that work with AI coding agents.

Our founder has worked as a software engineer in the enterprise application and workflow platform space for ten years, leading and advising technical teams and designing software that is elegant, intuitive and robust. His expertise is in building software that applies generally rather than to one market vertical, and that is the standard our tooling is built to.

We are US citizens based in Tampa, Florida, and we serve clients in the United States.

Why we exist

AI agents have made writing code cheap. If not used properly, they can make maintenance a nightmare. A team that lets agents loose on a repository finds out quickly what an unverified change costs. The usual answers are to trust the agent or to rely on conventions applied haphazardly. Neither option holds up as your organization grows.

We think the answer is enforcement: a repository whose structure, contracts and rules are declared, a gate every change must pass however it was written, and an integrated record of what was done, why it was done, and what is left to be done later. The same record answers two questions. For a small team, it shows the AI has not wrecked the repository. For a larger organisation, it proves that to an auditor.

We build our own tooling the way we would ask anyone to build theirs: declared rather than improvised, with few dependencies, and with every change verified before it goes into production. Our development philosophy sets out the principles that guide our decisions every day.
